Our client is seeking a Automation Engineer to spearhead critical automation and controls projects within their regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on implementing advanced automation solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving digital transformation initiatives. As they expand their technological capabilities and upgrade their production infrastructure, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for production equipment
Deliver automation projects in compliance with GAMP 5 and computerized system validation requirements
Support manufacturing digitalization including electronic batch record implementation
Configure and troubleshoot automated vision inspection systems
Collaborate with IT on OT cybersecurity initiatives
Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits and system validations
Drive continuous improvement of automated manufacturing processes
Qualifications
Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Extensive experience in regulated manufacturing automation (pharma/medical device)
Proven track record delivering automation projects including vision systems and MES integration
Strong technical knowledge of industrial control platforms (Rockwell/Siemens/Beckhoff and similar)
Familiarity with machine vision technologies for quality inspection
Programming capability in common automation languages
Understanding of GxP regulations and data integrity requirements
Demonstrated problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
Professional English communication required
